Fancier Tripod and Dolly

The Fancier FC-270A (marked FC-02H on the head) video tripod came highly recommended for its quality construction. It features a fluid-head damping system, sturdy metal legs, safety locking mechanism for the shoe mount, mid-spreader, padded bag, and an adjustable arm that can be positioned and lengthened.

A dolly system is being used with the tripod to allow full camera movement. One consideration is using a track system but using layout board (not pictured) and going off the rails, so to speak, allows lateral movement.

The tripod is 57.5 inches tall and requires a riser to further extend the height. I solved this problem by using a shelf bracket and corner brace (not pictured) from Home Depot.

To improve control, the front wheel caster is held in a forward direction with a zip tie.
